Now that I’ve read up on it, we had strudel NOT streusel. Hm. I could have sworn the sign said the latter.

We live in troubling times. 😉

After Greg drove us to their place both he and a Jan had to head an hour’s drive away to work … thank you both so much for your kindness! We rested up a while and then headed out.

We headed to Heidelberg’s Altstadt. It’s full of tourists, but we do love to visit, despite the crowds. We enjoyed our coffee and apple streusel (and puzzled over streusel compared to strudel), and then walked around. I enjoy the side streets in particular: fewer people and so interesting.

We finally ended up at a spot we ate at last time we visited to have dinner. This time I didn’t make photos of the inside, but it’s full of interesting instruments … guess I need to go through my older photos when we get home to share those.

From there we headed back to “our” home.

Oh, we then had to get ice cream because the shop is about a 15 second walk from Greg and Jan’s.

I mean, it would have been wrong of us not to, right?

And, of course, coffee. (Nope, no beer. Yet.)

We are now at Greg and Jan’s lovely place. I’m looking forward to walking in the neighborhood. Dan is looking forward to laundry, I think. 😉
