Today we started moving rather slowly. There was no need to rush — it was pouring outside! The rain subsided and we headed out, first for coffee and small bite and then a walk along the waterfront. After about five miles we headed over to Union Square, met up with Jameson and Meghan, and had a nice lunch. Then more walking, a VERY quiet bar (they shush you if you talk loudly!) where I had a refreshing cider, and then it was time to head to Ridgecrest for dinner at Julia’s. Yes, it appears to be an eating excursion! Another drink (no, that won’t become the norm) and then we ended with strawberry ice cream cones.

Once we head overseas we will be more careful about food and drink: we have to be able to fit into the clothes we brought, after all.

The best part of today was spending time with Meghan and Jameson. I miss Lia and Brandon, but we’ll just have to visit again when they can be here too.
