Today was a long drive day. But first we said goodbye to the wonderful lodging in Asturias. I will miss that place!
To break up the drive, we did stop in one location. This tower (Torre de Hercules) was in A Coruña and I actually went to the top of the thing AND stood outside. But not for long, because my fear of heights is far too strong.

Then we drove straight to Porto. Or Jameson did anyway. (He’s a wonderful driver and I’m so grateful.)
Jameson and Meghan did their own thing in the evening, and Dan and I headed out to explore.

The old portion of Porto is rather amazing … narrow streets that are just unbelievable, really. I did more photography with my Fuji camera, so only these few on the iPhone will be shared for now.

Then it was dinner at a restaurant that said it was authentic Portuguese. I wasn’t blown away, but it was fine and at that point it was so late we really needed to eat!

Finally it was back to the hotel for some much needed sleep … I hope. (I’ve still not been sleeping well, and we actually haven’t fully switched over to this time, but it doesn’t really seem to matter … everything starts later and goes much later into the night.)

Goodnight!
