We are staying in an absolutely lovely place, right on the coast of Spain, and we just enjoyed a long dinner with Jameson and Meghan here on the property. It’s somewhat magical, to be honest.
We began our day by waking, getting packed and heading to the bus because the taxi didn’t seem to be a workable solution. The bus ride took us to shopping mall (yeah, really) where Hertz was located.Malls, apparently, all are the same …

It took us a bit of time to figure out just where that Hertz kiosk was, but it did happen eventually. Then Jameson got behind the wheel and we headed out.
First (and only stop) was Santander. Meghan and Jameson had watched a soap opera that was filmed at the “palace” there if I understand things correctly (in their learning Spanish … and oh how grateful I am that they can communicate when we are unable!). We enjoyed a lunch, and then wandered up to the palace. The views were lovely.

From there Jameson (master driver!) took us to our lodging. we are rather spoiled, having him drive, and I’m ever-so-grateful. The place we are staying is amazing (thank you for finding it, Meghan!), and tomorrow we plan on relaxing and hanging out in the area so no driving has to take place. (That’s the plan anyway.)
From our bedroom window you see a tower. You can rent it … and I want it! Alas, a family appears to be in it already, so I can only look at it and dream.

But our room is quite adequate, and I am a happy “camper” (with no camping).

The grounds are really lovely …

And we had dinner with a view … how can you beat that?!

Now it is nearing midnight. This seems to be the norm: we rarely get to bed before midnight.
