Today was easier when it comes to jet lag. Neither Dan nor I slept much last night, so I wondered how we’d fare today.
Our morning began with a very early morning wake up — no problem at all since we were no sleeping! We headed back to the airport and easily got through security after checking our packs, something we thought we had to do since we read the weight rules: clearly no one else bothered and nothing was weighed. Ah well! When it was my turn to board the scanner rejected my boarding pass! The Lufthansa staff member rudely told me to leave and said “This flight is for Paris!” I showed her the pass (on my phone) and she still told me to get out of the way. As she then went to talk to someone else I quickly tried the pass in my Apple wallet and it worked …whew! So now I know: don’t use a boarding pass from the website.
The flight was short and the we took the train to Paris, dropped our luggage at the hotel and went to lunch a quick walk away. Later we took naps and I woke feeling very good.
Finally we headed back out, and I’ll share some photos here and write more later. (I’m doing all this on my phone and it’s cumbersome, but this hotel’s internet access wasn’t working, so far, on my laptop. So stay tuned for more tales …

Finally … dinner! And I have a fun story here, too. I’ll add that here when I’m able.
