Security was incredibly fast. The lounge is quiet and so nice. And I think I can relax … maybe.
I probably can’t post “live” like this a lot … I usually make images smaller so they load better. But I can’t resist posting one at least!
… or rather tonight is the night: our flight leaves (or so they say — we all know how that can go) at 7:15 PM.
We are packed. I’m busy changing sheets and washing towels and getting the house ready for our wonderful house sitters. I think we’ve done all that needs to be done besides a few small things.
And yes, we chose the backpacks. After watching a number of videos, including from a retired (but much younger than us) couple, I decided it really was the way to go. If we regret it there ARE luggage stores in Europe!
There will be more to tell … including the sudden not-so-fun (health) surprises that made me wonder if we’d really manage to go on the trip, but It appears those have been resolved (or are on the way to resolutions), so … well … maybe it really is going to happen!
